Donate your bike so we can give it to a child!
Recyke-a-bike are passionate about giving back to the community, and often run projects to benefit those living nearby. Previous projects have included employability and training programs, COVID meals to the vulnerable and cycle lessons for those with additional needs.
One of the biggest projects we are currently working on is with Forth Environment Link (who are being funded by Transport Scotland), Clackmannanshire Council’s Sports Development Team and Barnardo’s. We are running a pilot scheme, to provide bikes to primary 7s, from a select group of schools in Clackmannanshire. We are really hoping that the scheme will be really successful, and roll out nationally - enabling all children to own a bike (who would not ordinarily be able to afford one). Imagine if every child in Scotland had access to a bike; getting to school, friends, family and even later on work would be so much easier with a bike to help them get around.
We’d be would be so grateful if you would be able to donate any unwanted bikes - we can make use of them, no matter what their condition. Our expert team of bike mechanics are able to fix up your old bike and give it to one of the schools we support, or sell it in our shop and re-invest the money into our community.
If you’d like to visit the Recyke-a-bike shop to make a donation we are open Monday to Saturday 9am until 5pm (closed for an hour at midday). Our address is Recyke-a-bike, Alloa Road, Causewayhead, Stirling, FK9 5LN – the carpark can be accessed via Ladysneuk Road. Alternatively, please email us if you would like your bike collected, or complete a donation form, via the donation page on our website and we will get a member of the team out to you as soon as possible.
