Journey along the Scottish Canals

On June 26th, 27th and 28th 2018, we were delighted to provide event support for the Our Ability Inc. handcycle from Bowling to Edinburgh along the Forth and Clyde, and Union canals. Our visitors came all the way from the U.S. for this challenge.

CEO and founder of Our Ability Inc., John Robinson, led the ride of 125+ miles across the central belt of Scotland using primarily the Scottish Canals paths. There was a team of 12, and the bikes  included handcycles and elliptigos. Recyke-a-bike provided vehicular and bike mechanic support, plus some catering from our cafe.

This event was part of the launch for Scottish Waterways Trust's Inclusive Growth Gateway Strategy, focusing on disability access to the industrial heritage in Scotland.
