Our mechanics are fully trained and extremely experienced. We provide extensive servicing and repairs for all types of bikes and trikes. Just pop into the shop during our opening hours (Mon-Sat 9-12/1-5) and we will book it in with the mechanics. Wait times vary depending on how many bikes are booked in, typically we are quieter in the autumn and winter and our typical window to complete repairs is 7-10 days, whereas in the spring and summer you can expect to wait 3 weeks. - Bronze Service: £40 - brake, gear and general safety check.
- Silver Service: £55 - bronze service plus all nuts and bolts tightened, the headset adjusted and bottom bracket adjusted.
- Gold Service: £75 - bronze and silver service plus all cables replaced and the drivetrain cleaned and lubricated.
We also offer general repairs, from basic puncture repairs to larger pieces of work. Our mechanics have years of experience behind them and are certified to the highest levels. Labour on repairs is charged at £40 per hour, except for e-bikes which is £55 per hour.
Parts (except cables in the Gold Service) are not included in the service/repair costs. When you bring your bike into us we will go over the work it needs, and should you request a quote prior to the work being done we are more than happy to do that, to ensure it's cost effective. We will strive to keep our costs down, providing a quality but affordable service.
We also build new boxed bikes, ask for more information on the costings involved.
We now offer professional servicing and repairs for e-bikes, carried out by trained and certified staff. We can work with Bosch, Shimano, Sportline and Bafang motors. Using specialist diagnostic facilities and equipment, we can identify faults, carry out repairs, replace parts where needed, and provide expert advice to keep your e-bike running smoothly. Customers will receive a diagnostic printout following assessment.
E-bike diagnostics and repair work is charged at £30 per 30 minutes and is not included within our standard servicing packages (should you wish to have a bike service at the same time that will be an additional charge, as documented above). Please note that while we can service and repair most components, we are unable to remove or work on motors beyond external servicing. When bringing your e-bike in, please ensure you have the battery key and charger with you so we can complete a full assessment.
